Accessible Program for Adults Living with Exceptionalities

This December, join us to celebrate the past year with a creative social session. We will explore the gallery and grounds at the McMichael as we find inspiration together. Back in the studio we will use our findings to create a personal painting inspired by what the McMichael means to us! Participants are encouraged to bring their favourite artworks from the past year to share with their peers in an exhibition-style celebration.

This intimate event offers McMichael Members a unique opportunity to hear directly from our talented staff as they share their expertise, passions, and insights.

An intensive weekend of study in oil painting technique. Artist Judy Sherman will cover a wide range of painting skills and topics, including how to understand values, composition, colour, shape, form, lighting, brush technique and much more. Through demonstrations, painting exercises, and one-on-one feedback, students will learn to view and analyze the world as a visual artist.

Bach's works for solo violin and solo cello have long been considered centerpieces of string repertoire, and they offer an experience that is akin to taking a meditative walk in the woods. Each step reveals something new, and we discover a quiet place to process our thoughts and emotions. Join Tafelmusik cellist Keiran Campbell in an exploration of this remarkable repertoire, played on both four and five-string cellos.
