During this workshop we will visit some spaces inside the gallery that were part of the McMichaels’ home and explore some landscape paintings. The group will continue outdoors to enjoy a brief walk, look at and – if weather permits - photograph (with iPADS) the landscapes on the McMichael grounds. Inside the studio, we will have a short break before creating our own watercolour landscape paintings!

Celebrate the opening of Old Growth: Masterworks by the Group of Seven and their Contemporaries with a special curatorial talk that offers fresh insight into some of the McMichael's most iconic works.

Join us for a guided French-language tour of Close to Home, works inspired by the landscapes surrounding Kleinburg. This intimate exhibition is displayed in the upper floor of the McMichaels’ original home, allowing for a behind the scenes discussion of the Founders’ story and the early history of the gallery.

The tour will be followed with coffee and light snacks.

Tour the McMichael’s latest acquisitions presented in dynamic dialogue with long held works from the collection. This French language tour offers a fresh perspective on the art of Canada through unexpected juxtapositions and thematic groupings that inspire curiosity, reflection and delight. Featured artists include Tim Whiten, Howie Tsui, and Dana Claxton alongside J.E.H. MacDonald and A.J. Casson.

The tour will be followed by coffee and light snacks.
